Tyler was one of the original reporters at NH1. He has instincts and gravitas beyond his years and he was a great teammate to his colleagues while we launched a start-up news operation. In addition to his solid reporting, he quickly added anchoring to his skill set and he was also one of our better “one-man-bands” when he had to write, shoot and edit his own material. Tyler was a great employee and I would welcome the opportunity to work with him again.
Over much of the past 10 years that Teen/Kids News has been on the air, Tyler Dumont has been a key member of our reporting staff. In fact, his work has been instrumental in helping the program earn four New York Emmy nominations.
Tyler is a very gifted young man.
A quick study, Tyler learned the ropes of TV news in an impressively short time. He brings intelligence, focus and a strong work ethic to every assignment.
In addition, Tyler has the rare capacity to be able to handle a wide range of stories, from sports…to heavy-hitting leads.
He’s also a self-starter; not only coming up with ideas for stories that we went on to cover, but also writing and producing segments completely on his own. For example, the Boston Duck tour. A pretty impressive undertaking by a young teen.
Not to be overlooked, Tyler’s also a pleasure to work with. Along with an easy-going nature and an eager willingness to take on any assignment, he possesses a maturity far beyond his peers.
We wish Tyler the very best of luck as he pursues his career. Though we doubt he’ll need the luck, since he already has the talent.

I am writing on behalf of Tyler Dumont. I had the pleasure of working directly with Tyler during his time as an Assignment Desk intern at NBC, WHDH-TV News. His abilities never ceased to amaze me. I was Tyler’s direct supervisor at NBC and during that time, we worked together closely, so I fully understand his capabilities. Tyler is able to work effectively with other co-workers, making him a great addition to the team. After setting up numerous interviews for a time sensitive news cast I saw how organized and determined he is. I have enjoyed watching the way he has grown and excelled at NBC.
With his abilities, adaptability, and dedication, Tyler will make a great addition to any Company. I have no doubts you will be exceptionally pleased if you hire him. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

“Tyler became a valuable resource as an intern from the get-go at The Sun. He multi-tasks well, thinks well on his feet and his local residency provides valuable institutional knowledge to our organization. He takes on new tasks enthusiastically and takes pride in completing them thoroughly. In addition, Tyler’s social-media skills are a key asset as our organization continues to shift to a digital-first emphasis.”
